Powering Education Scholarship applications due today
Alpha One is proud to announce its 9th Annual "Powering Education" Scholarship, established to assist people with disabilities who wish to pursue post-secondary education.
Alpha One has been promoting independent living for people with disabilities in Maine for more than 30 years. This scholarship (now in it's 9th year) provides awards of $2,000.00 each to 3 selected candidates for post-secondary school education, including both undergraduate college education as well as graduate programs.
Please feel free to share this letter and application with students you feel meet the criteria stated on the application. Completed forms should be e-mailed, faxed, or postmarked for mailing no later than April 1st, 2011. Please note: our 2011 Scholarship award event will take place early May in Augusta. Recipients are encouraged to attend. Thank you for assisting us in providing this exciting opportunity to Maine students.
